If you are unsure that you are ready for a hamster take this survey->
- A cage, there are many different hamster cage, although I do not recommend Critter Trail Cages because many are over riced and FAR too small for your pet. I do recommend the one I use which is bought from Lowe's for only $11.99 W 23.98 inches x 13.05 Inches H large clear bin! ( Note that the minimum size for a hamster cage is (24 in. X 12 in.) BIGGER IS BETTER!!
- A new water bottle , make sure that they have fresh water daily. Average Price: $3.00
- A food bowl, however any Hamster-Safe container will do if you are on a budget! Average Price:$3.00 for a good one
- A house or hut, hamsters are very independent animals, and require privecy a hut is a great place for them to feel safe! Average Price:$6-$12
- An exercise wheel, hamsters need to exercise and a wheel can relive boredom. This is a toy that all hamsters enjoy. Average Price:$7-$12
- Chew Toy, if you didn't know a hamsters teeth NEVER stop growing. So they gnaw( To continuously chew or nibble ) on a hard object. A chew toy is also another way to relieve Boredom. Chew toys Average for about $2.99 for a pack of 2
- Bedding, hamsters are natural diggers and LOVE to burrow bedding is an essential item your hamster needs. I recommend the " Clean and Cozy" bedding you can get at most local pet stores. Wood chips work too, but they may have more dust. Which unhealthy for your hamster and you. Average Price: $10.00
- Food, hamster for average for about $8.99 for a 2lbs bag
